Hey there,
I have an existing exchange 2010 2x member dag and now a new exchange 2013 2x member dag in coexistence mode.
After testing with a few mailboxes, migrations were extremely slow, and I cannot do that for our entire environment. So I removed one of the 2013 DAG members, leaving a single exchange 2013 member by itself in the dag. Mailbox migration speed increased from 15MB per minute to 350MB per minute.
Here is my question, either 1 or 2, or none of those, in which case I would love if you could give me option 3.
1. Should I continue to migrate the entire environment to the single new exchange 2013 server, and after migrations are complete, add the 2nd dag member and make database copies?
2. Or should I add the 2nd member back into the dag first, and use the Suspend-MailboxDatabaseCopy command to suspend database copies until the migrations are done, then resume it?
