I have setup a test lab before I proceed with doing a transition from Exchange 2007 to 2013. I created my internal DNS host records mail, autodiscover and legacy pointing each to the correct CAS server. My test lab works fine redirecting users
from legacy.domain.com but this is all internal since it's a test environment. Now in my production environment do I need to have an external address resolvable to legacy.domain.com? From the reading I have done it seems like when a user makes
a request it goes in through mail.domain.com (which is resolvable to CAS2013 server) and from there the CAS 2013 redirects it to 2007 which then sends the request back to the 2013 CAS and then out mail.domain.com and to the user but how does legacy
get resolved.
