I am required to size a green filed Exchange 2013 environment. I will be separating the Exchange 2013 server roles. The design needs to be able to support 20tb of data.
I was looking to redesign to keep production databases small and then archive the rest of the data. i.e. for say 1000 users allow 100 mailbox sizes of 5gb and 900 mailboxes sizes of 2Gb and then archive the rest.
This would leave approx. 17Tb of data to archive
I have been looking at the Exchange 2013 Server Role Requirements Calculator, but I do not see how I can incorporate the archive sizing into the calculator?
What is the best approach for me here. For now I just need a high level design plan to get approx. costs.
