Ive had allot of problems with installing microsoft exchange 2010 on a Windows server 2012 R2 member server but i finally managed to get it done. Since allot of people find it difficult to do this i wanted to share how i managed to complete this installation.

- Give your exchange server an name and static IP
- Add the exchange server on your domain as a member server
- Powershell
- Import-Module ServerManager
- Install-WindowsFeature AS-HTTP-Activation, Desktop-Experience, NET-Framework-45-Features, RPC-over-HTTP-proxy, RSAT-Clustering, RSAT-Clustering-CmdInterface, RSAT-Clustering-Mgmt, RSAT-Clustering-PowerShell, Web-Mgmt-Console, WAS-Process-Model, Web-Asp-Net45, Web-Basic-Auth, Web-Client-Auth, Web-Digest-Auth, Web-Dir-Browsing, Web-Dyn-Compression, Web-Http-Errors, Web-Http-Logging, Web-Http-Redirect, Web-Http-Tracing, Web-ISAPI-Ext, Web-ISAPI-Filter, Web-Lgcy-Mgmt-Console, Web-Metabase, Web-Mgmt-Console, Web-Mgmt-Service, Web-Net-Ext45, Web-Request-Monitor, Web-Server, Web-Stat-Compression, Web-Static-Content, Web-Windows-Auth, Web-WMI, Windows-Identity-Foundation, RSAT-ADDS
- Add registry file
- download and merge te registry file http://www.smartpctricks.com/wp-content/downloads/Ex2010_On_2012.rar
- Restart the server
- Download and install Microsoft Filterpack 64 bit
- Download and install Filterpack SP1 filterpacks
- Restart the server
- Download the microsoft exchange SP3 Filterpack
- Install the filter pack with typical settings
