I am having some issues after migrating users from an old Exchange 2003 to a new Exchange 2013.
The majority of the users are using Outlook 2007.
All users access 15 shared calendars. These calendars were in public folders before, and have now been migrated to seperate shared mailboxes.
The old Exchange 2003 was removed cleanly with a proper uninstall.
The symptoms are:
Some users get the message that there are no connection to the server and that they need to be online to add the calendards.
Some users get the message that the administrator has limited the amount of opened items when selecting the calendars.
All users experienced long waits (one minute) when first opening Outlook and then clicking "Calendars". After installing some of the Office365 fixes, this was reduced to a few seconds for most users, but not all.
So far I have experimented with using cached mode vs. non-cached mode. I have tried new clean Outlook profiles. I have tried logging on to a different computer and there creating a new Outlook profile. None of this solves my problems. In one case, one user was unable to create a new Outlook profile on a new computer.
I have checked the legacyExchangeDN on users.
Most users have a value of /o=mailorg/ou=Exchange Administrative Group (FYDIBOHF23SPDLT)/cn=Recipients/cn=username
But about 10% of the users still have the old value of /o=mailorg/ou=First Administrative Group/cn=Recipients/cn=username
It seems that the most persistent problems are centered around the users with the old legacyExchangeDN.
I have no idea why this is still there since it is clearly wrong and I have no idea how to change this (or if it even is part of the cause).
Any suggestions are most welcome.
