m:/RecoverServer for Exchange 2010 fails

Current environment is W2008 domain with Exch 2003 sp2.  Previously a new W2008 R2 server was introduced with the intent of installing 2010 Exch & migrating clients from 2003.  Before this was completed the plan changed and the 2010 server was re-purposed.  Instead of doing an uninstall the server NOS was reloaded and it was rebuilt.  I still see the 2010 Administrative Group in 2003 ESM.  I've brought up a temporary W2008 R2 server in an attempt to recover the 2010 Exch.  This server has the same name is joined to the domain but I am unable to give it the same IP address.  When running the m:/RecoverServer cmd it starts but fails.  The intent is to clean up the references to the Exch 2010 server in the AD and the ESM. We are going to Office 365 in the future so no need for the Exch 2010 server. I'd like to get it out of my network completely. I must keep my 2003 Exch environment in a working state so I'm hesitant to move forward without the assistance of those wiser than me! I've pasted the errors in the setup log for review.  Your help is appreciated!
