EventID 2001 after SP1 install

Hi.

After upgrading to SP1 for Exchange 2013, I keep getting this error:

Event 2001, MSExchange RPC Over HTTP Autoconfig

A transient failure has occurred. The problem may resolve itself in a while. The service will retry in 00:00:15. Message:

Filename:
Error: Cannot add duplicate collection entry of type 'add' with unique key attribute 'path' set to 'C:\Windows\System32\RpcProxy\RpcProxy.dll'

'It does not seem to be causing any problems, but it is annoying to have this error log every 15 seconds.

Unfortunately I do not know anything about IIS, but it seems to be where problems is.

Anybody know how to fix this?

Hi,

I would like if somebody can help me input value correctly. I want 2 mailbox servers with dag where mailbox database will remain mounted on one server and on other it will remain healthy. What will be configuration below ?

direct upgrade from exchange 2010 sp3 to exchange 2013 sp1

Hi,

My environment is a single server machine, single domain small scale company.

To retire the SBS 2003, I installed Exchange Svr 2010 SP3 over a single domain machine running Windows Svr 2012 R2, purposely migrate emails from the SBS2003 server.

After the migration, I want to ask is it possible to upgrade the Exchange 2010 SP3 to Exchange 2013 SP1 directly on the same server machine? If not, is there any easy way to do the upgrade (since I purchase the Exchange 2013 SP1 and the CALs, not the 2010 exchange server licenses) without purchase another new hardware?

problem woth update exchange server 2010

Hi all, i have install new exchange 2010 server (build 14.1.0218.013) in my new Windows 2012 R2 server...with all windows update....so, when I start update exchange, i have nothing...but in winlog i see error:

So, i now need check debugs log....what i see this...but file so big...i'm uploaded file in link -Rollup.log

Active Directory Domain Name other than Email 'Domain Name'

Hi

as I'm new to exchange, I wondered if it is possible to do something like this:

I have an Active Direcoty setup with the Domain Name being 'mycompany.local'. Now I would like add an Exchange Server to that domain that receives emails for '@my-company-whatever.com', so quite a different domain name. Users registered in my AD should get a mailbox and email address automatically assigned,...Can one do that? Or would the names have to match?

Help Migration from 2010 to 2013

Hi

We have a 2010 Running all Roles and its working Fine

We installed 2 MB server 2013 and 2 Cas server 2013

All receive connectors are set up with TLS and Exchange server authentication.

I have spent countless nights trying to get the mail flow working ,

As of now mail flow from 2010 to 2013 and vice versa is not working

I have installed the Certificate on both Cas Servers but for some reason the Auto-discovery for the new CAS is still coming up as  Self -singed .

I believe a have mix of small issues 

I'm hoping someone can give me a push in the right direction as where to look ..

Exchange Server 2013 Connect/Disconnect/ReConnect

OK, I'm new to Exchange 2013.  My last REAL experience with Exchange was 4.0/5.0 days.  So, yeah, I'm jumping back on this horse and have a very unique scenario I need to accomplish.  

I'm designing a new environment to add to an existing environment.  But, the systems requirements are what's unique.  

Say for example, I have 2 MOBILE systems.  For the sake of argument we'll call them Mobile1 and Mobile2.  Mobile1 is already in place.  It's running Server 2003R2 and Exchange 2007.  Mobile2 will be running Server 2012R2 and Exchange 2013.  I'll need to upgrade Mobile1 to match Mobile2's OS/BO versions.  Once that's accomplished, I will need to connect Mobile1 and Mobile2 so data/mail can flow between both systems.  However, there will be times (extended periods of time for sure) where Mobile1 and Mobile2 will be separated from each other.  By a distance of hundreds of miles with no presumable connection between them.  So, both systems will need to act independently.  Then, when the systems are back together, will need to re-connect and act as "1 system".  

Is this possible to accomplish using Server 2012R2 and Exchange 2013?  

I will be able to build this in a "Lab Environment" prior to go live date (presumed Spring 2017 go live).

Any help or ideas on this would be GREATLY appreciated.

Changing Domain Controller for Exchange 2013

Folks

I have an Exchange 2013 running on Server 2012.

Old DC on Server 2008.

I want to decommission the 2008 server. I have build a 2012 DC and for the life of can not work out how to change the DC that my exchange box uses????

Using Set-ADServerSettings cmdlet only seems to change the server for that current session?? reboot and back to the old DC...

When I use the Se-ExchangeServer cmdlet, I get domain controller cant be found. I have set the execution policy on the dc to unrestricted and still Domain controlleer cant be found..

New dc is a GC..

Any ideas would be good.

exchange 2013 vs forefront?

Hi guys.

In phase of migrating:

EXCHANGE 2010 front end

EXCHANGE 2010 EDGE with forefront

to exchange 2013

And exchange2013 has a default spam filter which is not good enough for us. Already tested...
What is an alternative for forefront which worked on exchange 2010 well?

Exchange migration issue

Hi all, I have a situation here in the office. We had SBS 2011 and migrated to Exchange 2013 and all the other servers. Now when I say migrated I mean we created new users and just exported mailboxes and imported them back into the new system. Now we have a issue that emails are bouncing back saying that some local accounts doesn't exist, which is not true. They exist and they are mail enabled. Resolution for now is to delete cashed contact from Outlook, retype it manually and then it works. Sometimes even close and reopen of outlook is needed and then it works. Is there any solution for this. It seems like outlook still uses old server data from pst file..... Please help.

Exchange migration mailboxes "errors " subscription couldn't be loaded

Migrating mailbox users from ex2010 to ex2013.

Durring the migration if we click on details on batch migration process we recieve errors:

"The subscription for the migration user couldn't be loaded. The following error was encountered: Couldn't find a move request that corresponds to the specified identity '04d90647-3c0b-46d8-97e0-226dac03155c'.. "

At the end migration completes just fine, but what about those errors durring the migration process?

We already tried with setup /preparead again, and rebootin the server but that error appears every time we move next mailbox from 2010 to 2013.

Is there any difference if you run prepared from exchange cu10 or from exchange2013sp1 iso?

Public folders migration question

Hi guys.

In the middle of migrating two Exchange 2010 servers to two Exchange 2013 servers.

I have a question about migratin public folders.

Exchange 2010 servers are in seperated Active Directory SITE, but they belong to ONE Exchange Organization.

Each Exchange2010 server has it's own PUBLIC FOLDERS.

At the phase of migration (we will be using this instructions: https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/dn912663%28v=exchg.160%29.aspx?f=255&MSPPError=-2147217396), Lookin at the instructions in STEP4: "The first public folder mailbox that you create will be the primary hierarchy mailbox"

What does mean in our case where we have two exchange 2010 servers, each in own site, but they belong to same Exchange organization. And also at the creation of Exchange 2013 servers we have same situation now, one exchange 2013 server in one site, and the other exchange 2013 server in other site, but they both belong to same Exchange organization.

In this case, do you have ONE PRIMARY HIEARCHY PUBLIC MAILBOX?

Or two?

RU 10 Speeds and Rollback

I'm installing RU 10 for Exchange 2013, and it's taken 3 hours so far. I bailed out on the installation once b/c it was hung up on Languages. If I stop this installation, can I roll back the changes it has made? is there a procedure to roll back?

Unable to update exchange 2013 SP1 CU4 to CU10

Dear All,

We are running exchange server 2013 SP1 currently,with exchange server 2010 also in the same environment, we plan to update exchange 2013 to CU10,when I tried to update I get the below error.

My question is when I already have exchange 2010 running in our environment why I am seeing this error,also I am worried if I ignore this error and go ahead with the update, all my existing exchange 2010 servers may become non functional.

Migrated 1st user from EX2010 to EX2013.

Batch migration process results were that migration went well.

After this user logs into owa page he recieves an error:

Exchange 2010 to 2013 - PUBLIC FOLDER migration question

Hi guys.

SITE 1

EXCHANGE2010 server

EXCHANGE2013 server

SITE 2

EXCHANGE2010 server

EXCHANGE2013 server

We are finishing the migration of every user from EX2010 in SITE1 to EX2013 in SITE1, and EX2010 in SITE2 to EX2013 in SITE2.

Now the next step Will be migrating PUBLIC folders. We have question regarding that.
If we take a look of current situation of Public folders on EXCHANGE 2010 servers thru PF management console on one of the EXCHANGE2010 servers we see that for every "folder&subfolder" replication is enabled, and there are both EXCHANGE2010 servers inside.

Now the thing is that link between SITE1 <---> SITE2 is very "low", and durring the migration we do not wish that data would be migrating from EXCHANGE2010 in SITE1, to EXCHANGE2013 in SITE2 for example. But at the end we would like that"new public folders on exchange2013 servers" are accessible to users in EXCHANGE2013 SITE1 and also to users in EXCHANGE2013 SITE2.

Regarding the current replication of folders, is there any way to check which of the current EXCHANGE2010 servers is the primary one for public folders (and all the subfolders)?

If it's the EXCHANGE2010 server in SITE1, and we wish to create Exchange "top-level-hiearchy PF" on EXCHANGE2013 in SITE2, we Will not be able to avoid (traffic) migrating between sites durring the migration, right?

I hope you understand my qeustion.

Hello

Getting an error when i'm trying to install Exchange 2013 CU8 or CU9 (tried on 2 servers) in a AD site. The domain already have 2 Exchange 2013 servers installed and working. Installing Exchange 2013 in a new AD site... but getting the following error.

EXCHANGE2010-edge

SITE2
EXCHANGE2013
EXCHANGE2010-edge

User from SITE2 can sucessfully send mail to user on SITE1.
The other way around not working: "User from SITE1 is unable to send mail to user on SITE2".

We see messages stucked on QUEUE viewer on EXCHANGE2013 on SITE1 with error: "451 4.4.0 DNS query failed. The Error was: SMTPSEND.DNS.NonExistentDomain"

QUESTION1:
Where to check the root of this problem?

QUESTION2
When users sending mails across the sites, does message flow goes thru ExchangeEDGE servers or not?
