Office 365 DNS issue in Exchange 2013 Hybrid

$

We have our setup to Azure connected and pulling users to 365.  The problem is when we go to logon to 365 with our test users, it tells us it is redirecting to our organization's page, but we get an error that the page is not there.  We noticed in the url that it is using our primary domain, then looking for adfs.  But our primary domain is pointing to a third party who is hosting our company's site.  Since our primary domain is used as our UPN and email address, we can't (really, really do not want to) change it.  Is there a way to setup DNS or make a change in 365 admin to point to another A or CNAME record without adding another domain?  We are running Exchange 2013 CU12 with Hybrid mode.  All DNS entries (except for those from Skype for Business) is listed externally, but autodiscover is still set to our MX for the time being.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

JasonH

Hello team,

We are installing Exchange Server 2013 and faced the below error.

Exchange Online Archive or Auto-Archive?

$

Trying to figure out what option would be best for our environment.

We have local Exchange 2013 Servers setup in a Hybrid configuration with Office 365 (E3 licensing). We are currently migrating mailboxes to Exchange Online. Users connect to 2012 R2 RDS Servers and run Office 2016.

Users started experiencing issues lag in Outlook 2016 when previewing emails, and issues with emails staying in the Outbox. We resolved these issues by changing Outlook on the RDS Server to cached mode.

Many of the users have large mailboxes (15 GB+) and now have a large .OST file on their User Profile Disk.

UPDs are getting too large, so we want to enable Archiving of some type.

Since we have local .OST files, would be be best to enable standard Outlook Auto-Archive via Group Policy?

If we start to to use Exchange Online Archiving, will that reduce the size of the .OST files?

What's the best option for our situation?

The web application firewall has blocked access to /ecp/ for the following reason:

but the New problem occurs that OWA Users cant change their password also from the Outlook form Web and when they want to do this , they also get the warning. similar like above.

Please advice me the Workaround if possible.

We are moving our on-prem Exchange 2010 environment into O365.   We are stuck in determining whether or not to move the public folders into the cloud.

Is there a way to generate reports to find out which public folder(s) were last used and who accessed them?

I need to disable rich format on every e-mail (e-mail send to every users Inside my organization) to use this Appliance.

Mailboxes (CU10) & CAS (CU13)

$

We upgraded our 4 CAS (VM) servers (running Mailbox and CAS roles) from CU10 to CU13 last night during a patch cycle. Aside from momentary blips from Outlook clients prompting for credentials during each CAS server upgrade, the environment is stable this morning.

We have 9 backend Mailbox (MB) servers (physical)  (3 DAGs - 9 total servers) still running CU10 (ran out of time).  Again, with the disparity, we are running fine about 12 hours later.  Our question is this:

What priority should we assign the task to upgrade the 9 MB servers to CU13? We were thinking our next patch night (9/21).  Is that too long?  How much does this matter?

Thank you for any and all feedback you can provide!

AutoDiscover Configuration for a Hybrid exchange 2013 setup

$

Hi All,

I'm having a little trouble getting AutoDiscover working for our hybrid setup.

Externally, it works fine for our users on 365, but won't work internally for our on premesis users i.e. using outlook.

Our external DNS record for autodiscover.domain.org is setup as CNAME - autodiscover.outlook.com - should this instead point to the external IP address of our mail server?

Also with our Internal DNS, I just have a zone called autodiscover.domain.org, with an A record in it that just points to our internal exchange server IP address. I can verify this by pinging autodiscover.domain.org from a PC within our domain, and it comes back with our internal exchange IP address.

If I run the get client access server PS commands on the server, I can see that the internal uri for autodiscover is

https://autodiscover.domain.org/autodiscover/autodiscover.xml

The external uri is empty.

Can anybody see any glaring errors with my setup as it is at the moment?

Thanks in advance,

DG

Migrate from exchange 2007 to 2013 - Remove HUB Transport server 2007 for EDGE 2013

$

Hello,
We migrated from Exchange 2007 to Exchange 2013, everything has been done and works perfectly.

The old server mailbox exchange 2007 was uninstalled, it currently remains the HUB Transport server 2007.
I installed an EDGE Server 2013, open ports on the firewall, and now I would switch all flows through the EDGE 2013 to stop and remove the 2007 server .

I found some documentation on how to create the EDGE subscription on the 2013, but I would not make a false manipulation so that there is no big cut mails flow.
Also I wish to know how to do , there are several connectors receptions on the 2007 .
BY thank you in advance for any help
