Hi everyone,

I want to install cu10 on my exchange 2013 but i got this error in my logs:

Hi,

in organization - domain is like org.local and external Exchange name I want use mail.company.com, use Excahnge 2013

Excahnge use certificate from internal CA cerver. But I want use wildcard certificate for external connections *.company.com :)

I try publish Excahnge over IIS ARR 3.0 - and I bind for IIS wildcard certificate. At Exchange I nothing do, ther local cert like exch01.org.local.

when open URL mail.company.com - get error 502

"502 - Web server as a gateway or proxy server received an invalid response.The problem with the requested page; page can not be displayed. Web server, acting as a gateway or proxy, in contact with the upstream content server received an invalid response from him."

How can I correct publish Excahnge with two Certificate? 

- split external DNS, users mast use external name to connect to server at internal network

- use internal certificate for publish

-or try use Web Application Proxy in Server 2012 R2

Hi,

Recently i configured DR for our Exchange infra with 2 CAS server and 2 Mailbox server. For DR cas server i created a separate NLB as drmail.domain.local. And add the DR mailbox server in Existing DAG.  Now while trying to add a active database copy its showing following error.

And when i try to verify the same Fail over cluster validation found the following error.

 And cluster name is also not showing in Fail over cluster manager while try to connect to a cluster its givs the same error RPC server is unavailable. 

But from ECP which view the DAG members status its showing operational. Please help me to find a solution .

These functions are not easily graspable and it takes long time to understand, I decide to export my data into another (MS Outlook) platform, is it possible, I want new updates about conversion in cost-effective manner. I recently tried to install CU 13. but it failed.  After a reboot the Exchange services were disabled.  I was able to re-enable them and get them started with the exception of the Exchange Service Host service.  It is stuck in a loop of constantly starting and stopping.

Mail is working but I can not get into the ECP or OWA.  Also, the Exchange management shell will not connect and gives this error:

We have 2 geographic sites installed with Exchange 2013. There are 4 MB servers and 3 CAS servers at each location. I see it recommended that the MB role servers be upgraded first. Would I upgrade them across both geographis sites first? .. or .. would I upgrade the MB servers in Site1, then the CAS servers in Site1, and then move on to do the same at Site2?

Hi!

I have  a clean installed ex2013 server (OS Windows Server 2012r2) and an existing ex2010 server. I intstalled ex2013sp1, after update to CU7. Every time when I reboot the new exchanger I'm getting six error in the application log (Event ID 106 and 1039). The error message language is english and hungarian. I read many articles, but i can't find solution. Is anybody there who has the same issue?

My installation Echnage server 2016 turns(returns) the following error:
The registry key, HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\E xchangeServer\V15\Setup, wasn' t found.
I created a dedicated account AdminExchange who is present in all the groups of administration of my domain.

I am prepping for my first CU upgrade since installing Exchange 2013 & I am trying to ensure I have documented all the settings that will be wiped out with the upgrade (so archaic to have to manually do this).  I have found several good resources for how to do the upgrade....maintenance mode, etc, but mostly the posts just say to 'document any customization's'. 

I have made copies of the web.config files & documented virtual directory locations, but I am concerned about other settings that may not be in the web.config's, like in the registry.

Hi guys,

So we have successfully deployed E2016 into the E2010 environment (E2010 is currently configured as a hybrid with Office 365)

How is this done step-by-step?

1) One export the federated certificate on the E2010 to E2016 servers?

2) One configure firewall rules so that port SMTP/25 can flow both inbound and outbound from the new servers?

3) One download and runs Hybrid Configuration Wizard and one picks the certificate in the wizard and the tool configures the mailflow?

Is this it?

Can one move users hosted on both E2010 and E2016 servers to the cloud or do we need to migrate the E2010 users to E2016 first before we ship them to Office 365?

Any help appreciated!

I understand that certain .NET updates requires certain Exchange update levels.

How to tell which updates not to install on an Exchange server in order to avoid the Exchange server to brake apart? Does the updates check for requirements themselves?

I did delete the PowerShell application from the Default website to get past that last error to this. I haven't been able to locate this in ASDI edit.

Installing a new mailbox server but accidentally installed Client Access Role too. As soon as the installation neared completion users started getting certificate errors from the new server.

1. Don't understand how this can be. We point all our clients to a load balancer which points to our existing CAS servers so I don't understand how outlook clients can see this new one.

2. Server is offline now because of the problems its caused. How do I remove the CAS role from it? I assume I need to be online to do this properly (so it can access AD)? Will need to do out of hours I guess.

Hi,

Im trying to figure out the Exchange Calc. I entered basic info of a overoptimistic and very small environment. I dont quite understand the "volume requirment" output. Is it suggesting 5 mailbox servers?? I dont see where it accounts for all 50 mailboxes, and why so many MBX servers? I had selected No for HA and Yes for virtual.

See two screenshots below. Also, are there any good documentations/videos reviewing the entire calculator in details (you know, the things there arent exactly self-explanatory).

Hi

I have a exchange 2013 CU 12 environment in to which i am updating to exchange 2016 CU3. The E2016 mailbox roles have been installed correctly and the CAS function is working correctly. The problem I have is with setting up a new DAG for the new servers.

The commands to enable the DAG have run correctly but when looking at the settings in EAC I get the following error.

"Object reference not set to an instance of an object"

and no DAG settings are displayed. I am also unable to add databases to the DAG.

Looking around the net I have found that I need to move the arbitration mailboxes to the new exchange servers to resolve this issue. Which is were i hit my current problem.

I can find the mailboxes but they refuse to be moved and just queued to be processed. Looking deeper I find that although the mailboxes are located in a active mail store the server name attached to them no longer exists.

Hi,

We have an issue with our Exchange VM and the Hyper-V Integration tools update KB3063109 cause VM lockups.  This is reported else where for a few months now.

Other than NOT installing as a work around as mentioned in other posts, is there anofficial fix or is this ever going to be fixed?

We are currently using Exchange 2013 CU6 on Server 2012 R2 with the latest patches. Due to the poodle vulnerability we are attempting to disable SSLv3. We started by using IIS Crypto, however it indicates that SSLv3 is not a supported cipher suite, it only identifies multi protocol unified hello and pct 1.0 as the only valid cipher suites. SSLv3 is also disabled in the registry. A qualsys scan of the exchange server still indicates SSLv3 is supported. How can we disable this?

Hello,

i´m migrating our exchange 2010 server (single server with cas,mailbox and hub role) to exchange 2013 (two servers with ohne dag).

On last thursday a colleague wrote me an email, that his contact information would not display in the global address list.

So I am beginning to troubleshoot.

At first i checked the offline adress book with get-offlineaddressbook.

Here i saw that the new offline address book from the exchange 2013 server is set to default and that the OAB on the exchange server 2013 is not up to date but the OAB on the exchange 2010 is up to date.

So i changed the default backup to exchange server 2010.

In the next step i checked if the schedule options for the OAB 2013 are correct.

But both settings:

Get-mailboxserver

OABGeneratorWorkCycle: 08:00:00

OABGeneratorWorkCycleCheckpoint: 01:00:00

and

Get-offlineaddressbook

Schedule : {So.05:00-So.05:15, Mo.05:00-Mo.05:15, Di.05:00-Di.05:15, Mi.05:00-Mi.05:15,Do.05:00-Do.05:15, Fr.05:00-Fr.05:15, Sa.05:00-Sa.05:15}

are correct.

At least i found this in this link http://social.technet.microsoft.com/wiki/contents/articles/23294.troubleshooting-oab-issues-in-exchange-2013.aspx  the statement, that the OAB problem can be result by a system mailbox failure.

So i checked i a Systemmailbox have these parameter:

 Get-Mailbox –Arbitration | where-Object {$_.PersistedCapabilities –Like “*OabGen*”} | FL Name,Persisted*

And i can see that my exchange 2013 server had only the migration mailbox. No other systemmailbox exists on exchange 2013 server.

Did someone know this problem? Have anyone a idea what i need to do now?

Do i need to migrate the systemmailboxen from the exchange 2010 to fix this problem or create new systemmailboxes on exchange 2013?
