I am migrating from Exchange 2010 to Exchange 2013, the Exchange 2013 is built in a different Geo-location site with its dedicated domain controllers in the new site. I have confirmed the mail flow between Exchange 2010 and 2013 mailboxes. I am able to discover Exchange 2010 servers from 2013 environment via Get-ExchangeServer shell command. However, I am not to discover Exchange 2013 servers from 2010 environment. 

I need to configure Outlook Anywhere and Service Connection Point (Autodiscover) on Exchange 2010 to accept connections from Exchange 2013 servers.

I want to hide a public folder that an application uses, users click a link and the email opens in outlook, the application is called navision.

users need read access but I do not want the PF to auto map in outlook or show at all as users can access information they should not have access to through the PF in outlook.

the option for folder visible is greyed out when i give someone read permission but ideally they will have access and not see the folder.

Is this possible? ADSIEdit?

I'm trying to create the database volumes via the exported scripts from the Exchange 2013 calculator, to try and simulate a deployment. I've scaled back for the home lab, but basically I want to use the script to create the volumes and mountpoints etc.

The spreadsheet has 4 DB's per volume and I've setup 8 DB's so it should create 2 volumes...

I run the script, it creates the first volume and first 4 DB's without any issues, then it won't create the second volume so it creates the folders in the mountpoint folder (Just not mounted...)

The VM I've setup is very basic for home testing before scaling up for clients, but has the following disk

Disk 0 = OS\Exchange etc.
Disk 1 = Offline
Disk 2 = Offline

It does the first part correctly, so what am I doing wrong?

Any help/advice would be appreciated

We have a corrupted installation of Exchange 2013 due to installating CU6

New Exchange server is already installed and mailboxes are migrated over, I am now in the process to uninstall the old exchange 2013 so we can decomission it but I get this error when I try to run uninstall

"This mailbox database is associated with one or more active mailbox import,To get a list of all Mailboximport request associated with this database, run Get MailboxImportRequest | ?{ $_.RequestQueue -eq "<Database ID>"}....

But when i run this command I get an error of" The Get-MailboxImportRequest is not recognized as a cmdlet...

I just installed CU6 because we're looking to migrate from Exchange 2013 to Office 365 and CU5 which was installed had issues creating the connection.

Aside from this Office 365 migration we are also doing an AD forest migration from Exchange 2007. I did not realise that this would essentially break everything for me.

I have found the below article which is the exact issue that I am having.

I am hoping that there is some sort of work around. Would it be possible for me to Uninstall Exchange CU6 and reinstall CU5? or is this a backend issue that will not be resolved until Exchange 2013 CU7?

Hi, I'm using http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/jj150486(v=exchg.150).aspx to migrate my 500GB of Public Folders from 2010 to 2013. 

I'm up to Step 3: generate the .csv files and I've created the "name to folder size mapping file". I'm trying to perform the next step using the script:

.\PublicFolderToMailboxMapGenerator.ps1 <Maximum mailbox size in bytes> <Folder to size map path> <Folder to mailbox map path>

But regardless of running this on Exchange 2010 or 2013, I get the following result an absolute ton of these:

I do not have any \ in my csv file. I'm thinking of skipping this script and manually create a csv file as such:

I gather this would create 5 public folder mailboxes, one for each office and all existing subfolders to the \ipm_subtree\officeX would be included in that public folder mailbox. Would this approach work? One office has several mail enabled public folders in Exchange 2010, do I need to separate those folders into different PF mailboxes?

Or am I completely off track here, should I actually be creating 1 PF mailbox for every existing folder? I got over 11 thousand folders according to my name-to-folder mapping file.

Any thoughts on the error message on the script above or on how to split up the 2010 public folders into mailboxes would be greatly appreciated.

2x Exchange 2013 SP1 CAS Only Servers on Windows Server 2012 R2

3X Exchange 2013 SP1 MB Only Servers on Windows Server 2012 R2

It was working fine on the same environment in the same domain, but with Exchange 2013 CU3 on Windows Server 2012.

Can I include the SAN name for Office Web Apps server, such as externalowa.domain.com in to the Exchange generated certificate?

Recently I built two Exchange 2013 servers, CAS & mailbox and added them to my existing 2010 organization.  Now, people who HAVE NOT been migrated to the 2013 mailbox server are not getting an updated OAB.  Those on 2013 are getting an updated OAB.

Besides the obvious answer to hasten the migration to 2013, why aren't the 2010 mailbox users not getting an updated OAB?

The very first thing the Best Practices Analyzer says wrong is that Application pool 'MSExchangeOWAAppPool' on server 'EMAIL' is configured to run under the wrong identity.  'MSExchangeOWAAppPool' should run under the 'Local System' identity.

I would like to know where this tool is getting this information?  I went into IIS and verified MSExchangeOWAAppPool is running under the LocalSystem identity.

What else do I need to do?  The OWA virtual directory is attached to this app pool.  Things look correct so why is the BPA saying that I have an error in the configuration?Image may be NSFW.

So i read that the Database is OK, but the Index is broken somewhow ?

I`ve read somewhere that i should delete the GUID Folder and restart the Hostcontroller service, can somebody explain HOW to do this ? where can i Find the GUID Folder ? Is it the correct way to solve this problem ?

I would like to separate them into 2 Exchange Adminstrative Groups because one of the servers will be moving to another office and for business continuity plan they need to be in separate groups with own internal routing groups. What is the best way to do it?

I have a problem with a coexistence scenario with Exchange 2013 SP1 CU 6 and Exchange 2007.

I have migrated some mailbox to Exchange 2013 but i want to migrate back some mailbox.

I have use New-MoveResquest command to do this but the move failed with the status "FailedOther" and with PercentComplete "95"%

When i try the commandlet Get-MoveRequestStatistics "Name of the Mailbox" -IncludeReport | FL Report , i have this error message (I translate the message because it's in French originaly):

We are having a few issues after migrating from 2010 to 2013.

1. Main issue is that we cannot add secondary mailboxes to an account or additional profiles.
2. Running through testing we see that the ExRCA.com

We have rebuilt the oab virtual directory

we have recreated the oab and assigned it and it appears to be there we can access the web site for it.
